A Community of Unity
An initiative to bring more opportunities to celebrate diversity and inclusion at the University of Dubuque. Thus, building a stronger community.
For my Communication Senior Seminar course, we were prompted to make the world a better place. I choose to develop a program to build diversity and inclusion efforts at my University. Below are my results and project proposal.

The University of Dubuque is a diverse campus with individuals from all over the world attending.
A Community of Unity aims to celebrate the diverse backgrounds encompassing the university and providing opportunities to learn from one another. This is done through diversity and inclusion efforts and programming to really look at diversity as more than just a number.
Events and programming conducted from the project included the Green Bandana Project, Cultural Competency Guest Speaker, Uni-Tee's, a Candlelight Vigil, Unity BBQ, Cultural Jeopardy, and the promotion of other student organization cultural events.
The impact was outstanding! Having served over 700 students on our campus and so on. The positive feedback received will help in developing this program for more years to come.
